Micromega GenTaper Rotary files are innovative dental instruments designed to simplify and optimize the root canal treatment process by offering a single sequence of instruments, color-coded system, 3 sharp cutting edges, and a unique variable taper design. These files enable dentists to efficiently shape and clean the canal, providing precise follow-through of its anatomy while promoting excellent debris removal and disinfection. With only three instruments required for most cases, GenTaper offers convenience and reduces complexity in instrument selection, saving valuable time during the procedure. The color-coded system facilitates easy identification and selection of the appropriate file, ensuring dentists can quickly follow the recommended protocols. A progressively changing helical angle and pitch balance each instrument, effectively reducing threading and aiding in debris removal. In addition, their short handles improve access in hard-to-reach posterior teeth. Each innovative modification enables you to better instrument even challenging, calcified or highly curved canals.
Advantages:
Pack of 6 Files
To use the GenTaper Rotary - Starter Kits effectively, follow these step-by-step directions:
Preparation:
Set up the dental operatory with the necessary equipment and materials for root canal treatment.
Patient Assessment:
Conduct a thorough clinical and radiographic assessment to diagnose and plan the root canal treatment. Determine the number of canals, canal morphology, and any challenging anatomical features.
File Selection:
Utilize the color-coded system to quickly identify and select the appropriate file for each step of the procedure. Refer to the kit instructions to determine the recommended file sequence.
Single Instrument Sequence:
Take advantage of the simplified root canal treatment process by using the single instrument sequence recommended for GenTaper files.
Root Canal Access:
Gain access to the root canal system using standard endodontic access techniques. Begin shaping and cleaning the canal system with the selected GenTaper file.
Shaping
Shaping Files These instruments pre-enlarge and optimally shape the coronal 2/3 of the canal. The multiple tapers ensure flexibility and cut dentin in specific canal zones. A brushing action creates lateral space and allows the file’s stronger and more efficient blades to passively move deeper into the canal.
S1 -Tip size 17 Used in a brushing manner, the S1 expands the glide path, and its Eiffel Tower shape primarily pre-enlarges the coronal portion of the canal.
S2 - Tip size 20 The S2 dominantly shapes the middle 1/3 and begins to expand the apical 1/3 in preparation for the first finishing file.
SX- Tip size 19 The SX file can be used for additional coronal shaping, if needed.
Finishing Files
These instruments finish the apical 1/3. They produce the final deep shape in the canal and the correct apical fit for the matching GenTaper Universal obturators or master cones. Each finishing file features a decreasing rate of taper that enhances flexibility, reduces the possibility of over-preparing the coronal 2/3 of a canal and reduces the potential for taper lock.
Review and Confirm:
Periodically review radiographs to confirm proper canal shaping and cleaning. Adjust the technique if necessary based on ongoing assessment.
Irrigation:
It is important to thoroughly irrigate the canal between the passage of Successive instruments.
Obturation:
Complete the root canal treatment according to standard endodontic procedures, including obturation of the canal system with corresponding G.P points.
