The Micromega Retreat Rotary Files offer the remarkable ability to remove canal filings like gutta-percha and shape the entire length of the canal with a single instrument, streamlining the procedure and extending the shaping precision directly to the apex of the tooth. Guided down the glide path by 3 cutting edges, Retreats flexibility assures a perfect respect to original canal path and curvature. Retreats variation of cross sections offers and optimal cutting action in 3 zones of canal. The variable pitch of Retreat reduces instrument screwing effects. Anti-Breakage Control is a safety bonus as the instrument will unwind before separation.

  • Single file for removal of Gutta percha points and precise shaping till 25/6%
  • Preserves tooth structure while ensuring effective treatment
  • Constant Taper cutting section design for enhanced efficiency
  • Direct shaping to apex with one instrument saves time and reduces inventory
  • High cutting efficiency
  • Material: Ni-Ti alloy
  • Design: Constant Taper cutting section design
  • Type: Rotational motion rotary files
  • Speed: 600-700 rpm
  • Torque- 1.6Ncm
  • Sizes/Taper: 25 no. 6% taper available in 21 & 25 mm lengths.
  • Cutting Efficiency: High cutting efficiency for efficient procedures

1 x Retreat Kit (2 Retreat Files, 1 One Flare & 2 K-Files)

Preparation

Gather all necessary instruments for the root canal procedure including MicroMega Retreat files, appropriate irrigation solutions and Obturation device like EQ-V.

Patient Assessment

Evaluate the patient's medical history, dental condition, and any relevant diagnostic imaging to determine the appropriate treatment plan.

Isolation and Anaesthesia

Isolate the treatment area and administer local anaesthesia as required for patient comfort.

Access Opening

Create an access opening to the pulp chamber using appropriate dental burs and tools.

Initial Flaring

Begin with One Flare instrument for initial flaring if the case requires it. Follow the recommended technique to perform the initial flaring procedure. Eliminating the possible interference or dentine overhang. Flaring the access space in order to increase the solvent quantity. Canal penetration: 1 to 3 mm under pulp chamber floor without having to force the instrument. Apical pressure control, stop as soon as instrument requires force to penetrate. Circumferential filing.

MicroMega Retreat Usage:

  • Insert the file gently into the canal, engaging the instrument's cutting sections with the canal walls.
  • Use a continuous rotary motion while applying minimal apical pressure.
  • Canal penetration through repeated limited pushing actions in apical direction (push & retain)
  • Avoid aggressive movements that could lead to instrument separation or canal transportation.
  • Monitor the instrument's progress through radiographs or other imaging methods to ensure accurate shaping.
  • When encountering resistance or slight apical pull, remove the instrument, clean it, and irrigate the canal thoroughly.

Irrigation

Between each instrument passage, and especially after MicroMega Retreat usage, irrigate the canal abundantly with an appropriate irrigating solution to remove debris and maintain a clear working area.
Inspection and Further Steps:

  • Regularly inspect the condition of the instrument, checking for any signs of deformation or damage.
  • If additional canal shaping is required, proceed with the use of subsequent MicroMega Herogold Rotary Files.

Final Shaping and Cleaning

Complete the canal shaping according to the treatment plan, ensuring proper cleaning and disinfection of the canal space.

Obturation and Restoration

After achieving the desired canal shape, proceed with the obturation of the root canal system using a suitable technique. Finally, restore the access opening with appropriate restorative materials.

Post-Treatment Care

Provide post-treatment instructions to the patient, including information about possible post-operative discomfort and care recommendations.
